Former President George H.W. Bush passed away on November 30th and much of the first week of December was spent in remembering his life and service, culminating in his wake on Wednesday, December 5th. Bush’s wake shut down the markets and many federal offices. The day before, Dember 4th, the markets were rocked by an 800 point drop. On Thursday, December 6th, the markets were hit again, in reaction to the arrest of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou. On top of all of this was the appearance of an inverted yield curve.
In this week’s episode of The Eagle’s Nest podcast, Bruce Larsen and Taylor Leary touch on some of these subjects and give advice for investors dealing with the stress and uncertainty of sudden market volatility.
